Inspired by

I spent the fall reading blogs and posting my responses to facebook. It made some people a little bit crazy and if I had been able to sit and blog myself I might have saved a few friendships. But, I didn’t have the focus or the energy to set up this space. So now that the election is over, it’s time to move on.

My real inspiration came from a friend’s daughter, Lizzie, who just sat one day and decided to blog. She didn’t seem to need to spend months thinking about it, she just started.

And so I begin. No more thinking–I plan on doing, or at least writing. Now I’ll relax and try to be more hopeful in this mucky age we live in.

Food is what I really want to think about, write about, continue to learn about. How does one turn the ordinary into the extraordinary?
